guess the whiner and be a winner

For those of you from GMC, here's some interactive online activity you could participate in...
Go check out the comments posted for the blog entry, "doodle-this-doodle-that," and guess this person's identity. Your clue is that this person is a super whiner!

Just submit all your guesses, and even if you don't get it right. It would be funny to see who you think is super whiny. =)

Heh...

mystery...

(imagine the theme of pink panther playing in the background as you read this post...)

(really now. I'm not going to continue until you imagine the tune...)

(it goes...ta tum ta tum ta tum ta tum ta tum ta tum ta tum...)

(got it?)

Mystery has struck the blog of "incomplet." Mysterious strangers have swooped in and left comments and mysteriously disappeared without a trace of their names. Mystery... (am I spelling it wrong? Or does the word just look funny because I've typed it so many times?)

In truth, this post is a favour.
Could you please leave your name when you post a comment? =) If you really must maintain your anonymity, then I respect your privacy. But it would mean an awful lot to me if you could leave your name behind. Even, if we don't know each other personally, it would be great to have a name to go with an opinion. It is just that much more personal and relational I feel.

For now, the mystery persists...

(ta tum ta tum ta tum ta tum ta tum ta tum ta tum...)

beauty?

Whoopee. I got my first two comments today.
One of them I don't quite understand though.
In response to "da-da-da-danger", someone posted,

"well, you're only considering your point of view that seems to omit beauty as a reason for those heels. if you actually do, you will find that heels are more of a psychological art and the reasons to wear it are infinite."

I have a few questions...

Heels = beauty? Granted, to each his or her own, but I would personally hesitate to use the word beauty here. To me, it really cheapens the word. I have read poems about beautiful sunsets and heard songs about the beauty of love or of God, and to relate shoes to beauty...well, it just seems somewhat misplaced. But then again, to each his/her own?

Is it worth it? Are the aesthetic benefits of heels worth the discomfort, the inconcenience, and even the risks?

"psychological art": what is a psychological art? is there a non-psychological art? what kind of expression is wearing high-heels? Honestly here, do you wear heels because you consider it an art form and an expression of some sort?

"and the reasons to wear it are infinite": I really would like to hear some of these reasons and I am genuinely open to convincing with regards to their necessity in modern society. Off the top of my head, I would be inclined towards listing consumerism, advertising, and parochial sentiments behind heels and many other modern consumer goods - especially fashion wear.

Okay now. Enough talking about women's shoes for now (or a life time really...).

doodle-this-doodle-that

Here's a jpg of, what I hope to be, the cover page of my future website. It shall be named "incomplet."

da-da-da-danger!

High-heel shoes. Somebody explain them to me please. They are death traps! Why do girls wear them? At best, they are sprained ankles waiting to happen. Worse, they could mean running for the MRT but tripping and falling onto the tracks as the train comes along...wham!
Before enlisting in the army, guys have to go for a psychometric test where questions like, "would you like to swim with sharks?" or "would you like to jump out of an airplane?" are asked to ascertain how adventurous a guy is - basically whether or not he likes danger. MinDEF should really update their set of questions to include, "would you wear high-heel shoes?"
Okay. Okay. I might just be exaggerating a tad here, but what utility do they actually serve? Who was it that invented these balancing pitfalls?
Until some kind individual comes along and enlightens me, I maintain my opinion. High-heel shoes. Death traps.

what's in a b-l-o-g?

What does one say in a blog?
I have decided that this blog must possess three qualities - the ABCs...
it shall be unAssuming.
- nothing here is especially poetic or any bit more significant than the blogs (lives) of any other individual. As such, I will always be thankful for anyone kind enough to take the time to read and especially to post comments.
Brevity shall guide its prose.
- you, my dear reader, have many things to do and only 24 hours a day to do them in. It is my pledge not to indulge any particular literary romanticism at the expense of your precious time.
and sinCerity (quite a stretch to alliterate as a C) will be its goal.
- the thoughts and feelings I share will at times be silly, at times solemn, but always sincere. This blog is a window to my life that I open to you.

everyone starts by saying this

I have finally gotten around to creating a blog. It has taken me ages to...but one day I decided to...
That's what everybody says in a first entry right?
In truth, I really want to host my own site, but alas, I've grown impatient with learning the tools of the trade and have decided to take the easy way out: Blogger.com
Maybe one day I'll be able to build my own site, what with ajax and flash and all...hopefully it will be soon.
